Just thought I'd let you know how great our BC/BS plan is. Anthony picked up something in Africa and upon his arrival to Spain last week he was hospitalized for an acute lower GI infection (as of yet still unknown what caused it). He has been ill over a month and was severely dehydrated. He spent 4 days in-house with IV fluids and several different IV anti-biotic. He was discharged yesterday.
Anyway, when I contacted the insurance company, they said all I have to do is submit an itemized receipt from the hospital and they would cover 100% (some special rider we have that covers out of the country emergencies). I was so happy to hear that! Thought it might be nice for our nurses to know!
